Instead of Christian Science denying that the Bible is inspired, it makes the spiritual truths contained in this Book of books the fundamental basis of its teaching. The first of a series of religious tenets taught in Christian Science declares: "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life" (Science and Health, p. 497). Many times the question has been asked, How do we know that the Bible is true? This question can only be answered through a scientific knowledge and demonstration of Biblical teaching. Christian Science imparts this clear understanding of Holy Writ and enables those who possess it, as did the prophets, apostles, and early Christians, to prove its truth and thereby witness the operation of God's law in meeting the daily needs of those who trust Him.

Christian Science teaches, and its adherents most firmly believe, that Christ Jesus knew precisely what he was saying and the truth of what he was teaching when he declared that he was not God, but the Son of God; and furthermore, his words and demonstrations are for all people throughout all time. Hence, "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." The fulfilment of this promise comes to all who enter into the fulness of the stature of perfect manhood, possessing the Mind that was in Christ Jesus, truly knowing God, man, and the universe. The work of the Christ is made manifest to this age through an exact scientific knowledge of spiritual law expressed in cause and effect.

Truth is "the same yesterday, and today, and forever." There may be innumerable opinions and beliefs about Truth, but there is but one truth or fact about it, and only those who possess this fact have any knowledge or understanding of Truth. God is Truth, and Christian Science is the spiritual revelation of Truth. Unnumbered thousands from all walks of life and all nations have been physically and spiritually benefited by Christian Science.
