I wish to express my thankfulness to God for the inspired thought of Mrs. Eddy, who through her labor of love has brought healing, happiness, and peace to unnumbered thousands.

I came to Christian Science for relief from physical ailments, having been sentenced to a surgical operation, to which I was very ready to submit on account of my intense pain; but as both my husband and mother entertained great fears for me the operation was delayed. About this time a friend asked why I did not try Christian Science, as she had just been healed of a very severe ailment through absent treatment. I decided to do so, and from the first treatment began to improve. In a few weeks I was perfectly healed. The study of Science and Health was then begun, and it filled a long felt need in my life. It has helped me to learn to understand and love the Bible. The other members of my family have all had wonderful demonstrations of healing, and there has been no material remedy used in our home for over eight years, while prior to that time we had been constant users of all sorts of medicines.

For all these blessings I am more than thankful, but most of all for the change of thought, the consciousness of spiritual being that is ever present, for the knowledge that God is always with us, ready to help in all our problems. I am also grateful for the Lesson—Sermons and our other literature, to none of which we ever turn without receiving comfort and help. My prayer is that I may go on and up, never faltering; that I may prove to be a help, if ever so little, to my brother man; and that I may have that Mind in me "which was also in Christ Jesus," and thus prove my appreciation of the sweet gift of love that has been given to this generation by God through His faithful servant, Mrs. Eddy
