I feel it a privilege as well as a duty to tell what Christian Science has done for me. It is the greatest help and comfort that has ever come into my life. Mrs. Eddy says that when we demonstrate what we already know, we will be fitted to receive more. Some years ago I was using a sharp, heavy axe, when it slipped and cut the first finger on my left hand, severing the second joint, so that it was attached by only a small piece of skin. I vigorously denied the power of evil; then tied the finger up, and in a comparatively short time fear was destroyed, and I was able to go about my household duties as usual. The finger healed entirely, and I have as good use of it as of any of the others, notwithstanding that predictions were made of stiff joint, blood-poisoning, loss of finger, etc., unless I would have a doctor.

Besides this, I have been healed of a throat affection and my eyes have been very much helped. It would take me a long time to tell of the many times I have found that God is indeed "a very present help in trouble," and my heart is filled with gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for the blessings of Christian Science.—Lottie Hutter, Lynchburg, Va.
