I found the way to Truth as the result of the healing of my daughter of a severe nervous trouble through Christian Science, and would like to state that I myself have experienced its healing ministration in the instance of a very serious trouble.

Five years ago I became afflicated with an abscess on the tongue, and the throat and palate, in fact the whold body, seemed to become affected. I suffered intense pain and did not know how to take nourishment. In order to ascertain the nature of the trouble, I asked a physician to make an examination. He diagnosed the case as a malignant growth, and informed me that it was a serious difficulty, stating further-more, that my recovery depended upon proper medical treatment. Hereupon I told him of my decision to take Christian Science treatment, as God was my only physician and we had already had many proofs of the divine power as revealed through Christian Science. I then applied to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and with her loving and patient assistance, together with my firm trust in God, the healing was accomplished through Truth. During that time I did not have to stop my work a single day, though error often asserted itself in a most trying way; yet I felt that divine Love was giving me the strength required for the performance of my daily tasks.

Thus in the course of a year I was able to show myself to the physician. After a thorough examination he asked me whether I really had not resorted to medical treatment, and I could answer in good conscience that my recovery was solely due to Christian Science treatment. To this he said, "It is wonderful that you should have been so fortunate as to be healed of such a disease." Four years have elapsed since, and I have been perfectly well during that time. My weight, which decreased perceptibly while the trouble lasted, became normal as soon as I was restored to health.
