On the 18th of March last year I heard from a Jewish friend about the blessings of Christian Science, and I then resolved to give it a fair trial. As a result, this year has been the happiest of my life. For some years I had given up all faith in God and my health was not very good. In 1905 I lost my husband and my mother, and had many other troubles. Two years later I had a complete breakdown and was taken to a private asylum, where I stayed for eleven months. After that I had to go two summers to a sanitarium for nervous cases, and then felt better than ever before. Sick headache, which had been my companion from early childhood, was nearly cured; but I always had to think about my food, and never partook of anything but vegetables.

In this state Science found me. I believed that if I did anything contrary to the doctor's orders I would have to go to the asylum, so I lived in constant dread; but now I know that God is Love, and "perfect love casteth out fear." I feel very happy and always protected by Love, and comforted by the reflection of Love by my dear fellow Scientists, which reflection first attracted me and led me to try to find the truth, for these Scientists lived what they preached. Every one of them has helped me in some way, and so has the Christian Science literature. I take this opportunity to thank God, as well as our dear Leader, that I know Him as the giver of all good and perfect gifts.
