Truth

The very ably written article entitled "Old Ills and New Remedies," which appeared in a recent issue, certainly gives a vivid picture of the many and varied devices to which mankind has recourse with a view to obtaining relief from various ills. Your contributor has also touched upon Christian Science, but his remarks on the subject are by no means so accurate as the descriptions of the mud bath and the "return-to-nature theories" are amusing. May I, therefore, be permitted to point out that Christian Science goes far beyond merely saying "that nothing unpleasant exists," but proves with unerring certainty, to that individual who endeavors to practise its teaching faithfully, that discord, whether mental, moral, physical, or of any other description, can be healed by a correct understanding of God and His law, the infinite law of good, as originally taught by Christ Jesus, set forth in the New Testament, and reiterated in the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
