It was in 1907 that we first came into Christian Science, through the healing of my wife of a fever after all medical aid had failed. Since then we have depended altogether on Christian Science in sickness and in health, and for every discord that has come to us. It has been a great help to us at all times, and has proven beyond doubt the power of God, good, over all evil.
On Dec. 31, 1911, our little boy, three years old, fell into a kettle of hot grease which (to mortal sense) burned him terribly. This caused a sense of pity to come over me, also a sense of unworthiness to treat the case; but it soon dawned upon me that these were just the arguments of evil. I then set to work, and in about two hours the pain had ceased, so that the child even played a little, although he was somewhat restless the rest of the afternoon; but that might he slept better than usual, and he was not troubled any more except for a few minutes next day, when he rubbed some of the skin loose while playing.
Words cannot express our gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for the spiritual quickening and peace of mind gained through the understanding of the Scriptures as she has taught us in Science and Health.
