AMONG THE CHURCHES

CURRENT NOTES.

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. —Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, was organized July 16, 1908, and four months from this time a lot at the corner of Summit and Bryant avenues, south, was purchased for the purpose of building upon it our church home. Ground was broken in June, 1909, and we held our first service in the completed vestry on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 25, 1909; but it was decided to wait until later to finish the superstructure. The work on the body of the church was finally resumed in March, 1913, and it is rapidly progressing. The corner-stone was laid Saturday afternoon, May 10, 1913, at four o'clock.

Correspondence.

MT. VERNON, N. Y.—The work of rebuilding the edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, which was seriously damaged by fire on New Year's day, has been started, and the building, which is of stucco, will probably be ready for occupancy by the first week in August. When completed, it will be practically new. The auditorium will be considerably increased in size, as it will seat at least three hundred and fifty people, and the Sunday school rooms will be in the basement, as formerly. Later, it is planned to install a modern organ.—Mt. Vernon Argus.
