With hearts overflowing with gratitude for the many blessings we have received as a family since coming into Christian Science, now over three years ago, we feel that we should no longer withhold an expression of gratitude which might encourage some other poor sufferer who is searching for health and happiness as we were.

I shall never forget the day that a dear lady first brought Christian Science to our notice. We did not then know anything about it, but it seemed from the very first that it was just what we had long been searching for, and we accepted its teachings and threw away all our medicine, though my husband and self had been taking remedies every two hours at that time, as he had been almost an invalid for two years with kidney trouble and unable to work, while I was sick a great deal of the time, my friends and relatives believing I had tuberculosis. As we began to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, however, our condition improved, and soon all our ills disappeared. My husband also got a good position, which overcame the financial difficulty, and to us all these were beautiful and convincing proofs of the power of Truth over error.

What seemed to me the most wonderful proof of Truth's power was the healing of our oldest son last summer of a fever. He had all the symptoms accompanying that disease, and was according to mortal mind very near death; but we clung steadfastly to Truth and Love, used no material remedies whatever, and through the faithful work of a practitioner he was healed. Although his recovery seemed slow, it was almost painless after the first few days. Is it any wonder that our hearts are filled with gratitude for Christian Science? Whenever I think of this great proof of the protecting power of divine Love, I feel like exclaiming with the psalmist of old, "Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name."
