Four years ago, while residing in northern Germany, I began to suffer from asthma. The trouble grew worse, and I consulted a physician. I was given a remedy which relieved me at first, but soon had no effect, and I was then advised to try a change of climate. I did so, but instead of improving, my condition got worse until my suffering became unbearable. I had heard of Christian Science seven years previous to this, but had always rejected it, as I thought I could get on without it. When, however, I found myself in this extremity, I decided to apply for treatment. I went to Frankfort, Germany, to see a practitioner, and after several treatments I was completely healed, as I have never had a return of the trouble. At the same time the appetite for tobacco left me, and although it returned for a short time afterward, it completely dropped away through the study of Mrs. Eddy's book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and I have never had any further desire to smoke.

I am most grateful for these beautiful physical healings, but still more for the spiritual light which has come to me and revealed God as ever-present and eternal Love, who never forsakes His children. I have also found Christian Science a great help in business, and in my daily life I desire to show my gratitude for the great blessings which have come to me by following the teachings of Christ Jesus and those of our beloved Leader.
