I wish to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done and is doing for me. I was healed of a severe cough in two treatments, and I have had many smaller proofs of the power of Truth to heal, for all of which I am most grateful to God and His Son, Christ Jesus; also to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.

It is with ever increasing gratitude for Christian Science that I tell of an experience of the protection which this truth affords us. One evening my husband and I drove to church, leaving our four-year-old boy in the care of a young woman in the house. Just as the service began, word was sent to me that the boy had been seriously hurt, and that I should come to the telephone at once. Upon calling the house, I was told that the child had fallen from an up-stairs window and hurt his arm very badly. My first thought before leaving the church was one of assurance that the truth as taught in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy was all I needed to rely on; that the child was safe in God's care. Instead of going for my husband, who was reading at the church service, I drove home as rapidly as possible, having to travel over a mile up a dark canyon road, and during this time the one statement uppermost in my thought was, "Accidents are unknown to God" (Science and Health, p. 424).
