In submitting the following testimony for publication I have related only what seems the most important demonstration that has come into our experience, in the light of which my own healing of inflammatory rheumatism and a serious heart weakness, and that of my wife, who was freed from a serious lung trouble, seem less wonderful.

On Nov. 21, 1910, our little boy, then about four years old, fell from a third-story window to the pavement. He was carried to a doctor's office, and an examination was being made, when his mother followed, having learned of the accident a few minutes after its occurrence. Before seeing the boy, and with absolute faith in God's protecting power, she had telephoned for a Christian Science practitioner. I arrived at that time, and we were shown into the room where the child lay.

Previous to this I had had many proofs of the power of Truth to heal all manner of disease, but this seemed so different, and so terrible, that I felt as though there could be no hope. My wife, however, manifested no alarm, but quietly informed the doctor that we were Christian Scientists, and asked that the boy be taken home. This was readily agreed to, although the diagnosis was not complete and the extent of the injury was not known, except that there was a fractured jaw.
