It is with sincere gratitude that I testify to the benefits received in Christian Science. I never had any faith in medicine, so gave it up entirely long before I began to investigate this teaching. I had occasion to require the services of a practitioner in an attack of measles in June, 1910. The disease was very pronounced when the Scientist arrived to give me treatment, but I was strong enough to walk about the room when she left an hour after. I can conscientiously say that the illness was overcome by the next day. Regardless of the opposition I had to meet and the warnings about reading or taking cold, I read every day and had no fear, as I knew I was in God's care. Several days after no one would have known that I had been ill.

We read in Isaiah: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; ... they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." These words were certainly illumined to me. I never realized so clearly before God's loving care over those who are willing to trust Him. I have been very much benefited in other things. For all this I am very grateful to God, and also to Mrs. Eddy who has shown us the way.
