Through the heartfelt desire to acknowledge what Christian Science...

Through the heartfelt desire to acknowledge what Christian Science has done for me, I must say with the psalmist, "Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which them hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered." I am indeed thankful to God, "who so loved the world" that He has given us this Comforter, Christian Science. As students of this wonderful truth we can best show our gratitude and love to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, by doing as she requests in Science and Health (p. 495). "Study thoroughly the letter and imbibe the spirit."

Christian Science was brought to my mother and myself by a great need of health on the part of the former, and she has been helped out of many ills, although to material sense the demonstration has been slow. The joy of overcoming these ills has been grand and her spiritual understanding of God has lifted her out of the valley of doubt and despair. I am thankful for our church services and the Wednesday evening meetings, also our literature. The daily study of the Lesson-Sermons fills a want which nothing else ever did. Although I was a member of an orthodox church, still the hunger to know the only true God made me restless and dissatisfied with my concept of life. Now, the knowledge which Mrs. Eddy has given to the world, of God as Life, satisfies. May this testimony help some other hungry pilgrim to find the "bread of life," and may the rich blessings of God continue to rest upon all the true followers of our Leader.
