FROM OUR EXCHANGES

[Rev. Joseph H. Bradley, D.D., in Christian Work and Evangelist.]

As never before the followers of Jesus are realizing the meaning of the promise of God that the kingdom of heaven must come on the earth, and that His will shall be done here. . . .

The church of Jesus is now waking up to the necessity laid upon it to wage the warfare of this conquest. It has become a mighty army, and able to exert an irresistible force for the overthrow of Satan's power and the pulling down of his strongholds. Through the providence of God the gleam of a new day is brightening the horizon, and brings encouragement to the hearts of those who have pledged a loving fealty to Jesus, to stand up and go forth valiantly to war against every foe to righteousness. Today the heart of the whole civilized world is throbbing with the hopes of freedom from every form of slavery and oppression in the chains of the powers of darkness. It is the business of the church of Jesus to encourage this hope and put itself boldly and in the front of the world's struggling multitudes and lead them to the victory which is according to the will of God and the triumph of His Son Jesus.
