I wish to express my gratitude for what has been done...
I wish to express my gratitude for what has been done for me through Christian Science. In April, 1908, I had what the doctors called facial paralysis. The mere thought of it distressed me greatly, but I immediately turned to Christian Science for help. When I went to the practitioner my fear seemed very great and my faith correspondingly small; but after the first treatment I felt encouraged. Within three weeks the fear was destroyed and my face was perfectly healed. This was my first experience with Christian Science.
In February, 1910, I was healed of acute lung trouble. My recovery seemed impossible, since the disease was said to have taken a strong hold on both lungs before a practitioner was called. But the healing was wonderful, and within four weeks I was able to resume my position as a milliner. I went to work without any fear and felt perfectly well and strong. I was also cured of a hernia for which I had worn an abdominal belt for four years. At the time, I was being treated for what seemed to be a severe rupture, which had suddenly appeared. This made it impossible for me to wear any tight clothing, and because of the great pain which I suffered, when standing on my feet, I was kept from doing much walking. I am now perfectly well, and am rejoiced to have done away with the abdominal belt which physicians had said I must always wear.
This has been my experience of the healing power of Truth, and I am truly thankful to God for my deliverance through Christian Science.
