A story on the subject of Christian Science has been communicated to the press which is a very good specimen of the way in which prejudice is manufactured. It is to the effect that a Christian Science practitioner in Switzerland has been sent to prison and fined, and an order made for his expulsion from the canton for practising the treatment adopted by that movement. To anybody acquainted with Christian Science the details of the case proved that the particular person had no connection with the movement, and careful inquiries made in Zurich and in Geneva, whence the information is supposed to have come, have proved this to be the case. Not only was this man not a Christian Scientist, but he was not even known to the Christian Scientists in the country. Furthermore, Christian Science itself was not as much as named during the trial.

The fact is that he was what is known as a nature-healer. He prescribed baths, drafts distilled from herb's, and other herb decoctions. In these circumstances, it is obvious that his practice was far more like that of the ordinary medical practitioner than the Christian Scientist. I shall be very much obliged if you will give publicity to these simple facts.
