It is with deep gratitude that I give the particulars of my healing through Christian Science. After being married some time, I had a very serious illness, and from that time on I was seemingly dragging out a weary existence. The physician attending me was considered one of the most skilful in the town, and he said that the only hope for me was to have an operation, as I had an internal growth which medicine could not cure. Having made his final examination, he said I had better decide at once to have the operation, and let him know as soon as I became reconciled to it. I was to be taken to the general hospital in the town, where the operation could be performed, but I was in a very weak condition, and felt I could never stand the ordeal.
Just then, at the last moment, a friend in the house where we were rooming asked why I did not try Christian Science, and told me of some cases of which she had known that had been healed through Christian Science. At that time I had scarcely heard of such a system of healing, but she asked me if she might tell a practitioner to call on me. In a few days the Scientist called, told me that all things are possible with God, and that His work is perfect and complete; so I decided that I would try Christian Science. I did so, and in ten days I was up and able to be around and the abnormal growth had disappeared entirely.
About two years after this experience I gave birth to my first child, and the same doctor waited on me. Before leaving he told me that the internal growth for which he had formerly made an examination was no longer in existence. I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and through the study of its teachings I have been able to overcome many difficulties.
