I had intended to tell, long ere this, of the blessings Christian Science has brought me. I was healed of appendicitis in about one week's time, although previous to this I had suffered for more than six months and had never been free from bowel trouble. Our family physician had said that I could not be well without an operation, and I was about to go to Minneapolis, Minn., for this purpose (my home then being in Eau Claire, Wis.), when this truth was brought to the notice of my mother. She greatly dreaded the operation for me, and thought it would do no harm to try Christian Science. The results were as above stated, and though it is now over eleven years, I have never had the slightest return of the affliction.

Since that time the power of Truth has been proven to us again and again. Of these experiences I will briefly mention two. Our little girl, now four years old, has known no treatment but Christian Science, and has been a remarkably well child. She was healed in Christian Science of a fracture of the skull in two weeks, and a bad habit of sucking her thumb also vanished before the truth. My endeavor is so to live that I will reflect this light to others, even as the Master bade us. I feel deep gratitude to God, also great thankfulness to Mrs. Eddy for bringing this truth of Christian Science to mankind.
