For a long time I have felt that it was my duty to give...
For a long time I have felt that it was my duty to give my testimony regarding the many benefits which I have received through Christian Science. For at least thirty years I was troubled with a bowel difficulty for which I had tried about everything that any one would suggest, but I received no benefit from any material source.
As a last resort I turned to Christian Science and took several treatments, but thinking I was not getting along as well as I ought, I told the practitioner that the physical results were not very satisfactory. She said it was not for me to judge, but that I should leave it entirely with God; that God would care for me, if I trusted Him implicitly. While on the car, as I was returning home, I thought over my case and saw plainly wherein I had made a grave mistake. I had been watching my bodily condition closely and critically, but I now began to see the truth, and knew that the truth would cure me. It was sixteen weeks, however, before I realized the healing, and it was not the physical healing which seemed so wonderful to me as the perfect manner in which I was cared for. During all that time I had no fever, no headache, and no bloating, but was perfectly normal in every respect. I ate the same amount of food, and did as I had always done, except that I used no material remedy of any kind.
