Your paper quotes a religious teacher in St. Louis as saying that Christian Science is "not Christian and not scientific;" yet the fact is that this Science is founded on an understanding of the law of life demonstrated by Jesus, and that except through such discernment and a practical following of the Christ there is no hope that men can ever be permanently free either from the liability to sickness or from sin.

The study of Christian Science has awakened many who before were careless and discouraged, and has given them not only the impulse but the understanding with which to attain to good and successful living. Its practical usefulness proves the correctness of its teaching, even in accordance with the test furnished by Jesus, who instructed his disciples to judge the tree by its fruit.
