Having experienced a wonderful proof of the power of divine law to correct and heal the discordant conditions of mortal experience, I desire to offer my testimony and to express my gratitude for our revered Leader's priceless gift to humanity in her discovery of Christian Science. For several days I had suffered from a slight soreness of the throat, but I failed to recognize the need of meeting it in Science. In consequence of this neglect I was awakened in the night with a well-developed case of quinsy. I then attempted to do the work which should have been done when the disorder was first recognized, but the condition seemed so real that I felt compelled to call for help. After two treatments in Christian Science the condition was completely overcome and the healing perfect. Just before the second treatment I had great difficulty in swallowing, but during the treatment the pain left me instantaneously and to my great astonishment the swelling also had disappeared and I was perfectly healed and free.

This positive evidence of the power of divine Love to heal those who trust God has given me a deeper understanding of the importance of our Leader's life-work. It has enabled me more fully to realize that through her consecrated devotion to the laws of God and the holy desire to awaken mankind out of their dream of life in matter, with its resultant discords and limitations, she was enabled to give to the world the Science of Christianity as found in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which gives fixed and positive rules whereby we are able to prove the healing and redeeming power of Truth as demonstrated by Christ Jesus. This experience has also shown me the absolute necessity of strictly obeying the admonition of our Leader, as found in Science and Health (p. 390), to "suffer no claim of sin or sickness to grow upon the thought."
