I give this testimony with gratitude and thanks for all...
I give this testimony with gratitude and thanks for all that Christian Science has done for me. About four years ago, through the wonderful healing of an aunt, I turned to a practitioner for treatment. I had been under the care of two specialists in this city for deafness, and had been treated by them for over a year, with the result that I rapidly grew worse instead of better. At this time I was studying voice work, and was so troubled with hoarseness, sore throat, and colds, that I felt I had better give it all up. In a great state of discouragement I turned to Christian Science, and I was healed of all these ills. Although the healing was not rapid, I am nevertheless grateful, because I had to search my own mentality for the lurking error, and in that way I was able to overcome a very bad temper and disagreeable disposition, and when this was accomplished my hearing was restored.
My mother has also been benefited through the study of Christian Science, and was able to lay aside glasses which she had worn for reading for almost fifteen years. The healing was instantaneous, occurring during a Wednesday evening meeting. A short time ago my husband applied for treatment for an ulcerated tooth. After he had tried all material remedies, the dentist saying he could do no more for him, he was completely freed from pain in a few treatments. This same dentist, a personal friend of my husband, was very much impressed by this healing, as he did not think Christian Science could relieve any such inflammation.
I could go on and tell of very many blessings I have received, but will not take up too much valuable space. I however wish to add that Christian Science has helped me in my musical work. I had always believed that I could not memorize music, and I was so fixed in this belief that in an examination I was the only one allowed to play with a copy of music before me. Now, as I realize that God is Mind, and that man reflects intelligence, I am overcoming this difficulty, even if only in a small degree. I am truly grateful to God, also thankful to Mrs. Eddy for this truth which has helped me so much.
