In a recent issue is a reference to books "exposing Christian Science." This would imply that there is something lying behind the teaching of Christian Science which cannot bear the light. And yet, what is Christian Science? Those who understand it well enough to be able to heal the sick and the sinner by its means will tell you that it is nothing else except the revelation to mankind of the infinite perfection of the God who is Love; that the only message it has to bring is the old, old message of "on earth peace, good will toward men;" the only demand it makes on its followers, that they obey the commandments—"Thou shalt have no other gods before me," and "Love thy neighbor as thyself;" the only object it has in view, that all evil may be overcome by the omnipotence of good. What Christian Science asks of the world today is honest investigation. Two thousand years ago the incredulous Galilean said to his friend, "Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?" The answer was, "Come and see." Is it too much to ask that those who wish to know if there is any good to be found in Christian Science should come and see? Let them study the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which is to be obtained at every Christian Science reading-room in the world, and judge for themselves.
