Two and a half years ago I first heard of Christian Science, and since then I have known what it means to be in good health. As an infant I was ill constantly, and neither my parents nor the physician expected me to live. At the age of fourteen a severe internal trouble appeared, which lasted three years and would not yield, in spite of all the remedies applied, with medical treatment and our going to watering-places; in fact, I rather grew weaker, and had to stay in bed most of the time. The physician advised an operation, but in December, 1907, I heard of Christian Science. At first I would not have the subject mentioned, but as my parents urged me, I was brought to Hannover in January, 1908, to a practitioner, who took up treatment for me at once. After the first treatment I felt an improvement, and after a few months I was completely healed. I also used to suffer with headaches, but this condition, too, has entirely disappeared. Next to God, I am thankful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has discovered the truth and shown us the way to Life.
