Nearly five years ago I sought a Christian Science practitioner for help for deafness in one ear, said to have resulted from a fever in childhood. While being treated for this, I became conscious of the fact that I had been healed of an organic trouble which had caused me much suffering and great inconvenience in attending to necessary household duties. I had believed there was no release from this, at least for a number of years; so it never occurred to me to ask help for this ailment. I not only received the hearing for which I sought, but perfect health as well. One demonstration after another has been made all along the way since then,—colds, throat trouble, a case of accident, my husband's release from severe headaches and the tobacco habit, besides many other things, each demonstration proving unmistakably the omnipotence and omnipresence of God.

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for all these blessings, but above all I am grateful for even my slight understanding of Truth, without which human life would be a blank. My daily prayer is for strength and understanding to prove by my works the love and gratitude to God which is in my heart; and also for our dear Leader, by whose unflinching courage and unwavering faith we have gained this light.
