Although it is now almost nine years since I began the study of Christian Science, I have never before given a written testimony to the power of Truth. This is the more inexcusable in that for the most of this time I have been isolated from other Christian Scientists and from church privileges, and the Science literature has meant very much to me.

My healing was slow, because I was so wedded to my idols,—heredity, materia medica,and the reasoning power of mortal mind, which I thought capable of solving all mental problems. When I began to appreciate how beautifully simple and logical Christian Science is, I began to gain in understanding and also in physical health. To me the logic of Christian Science is now seen to be so clear, convincing, and satisfying, that, though all who read it may not be willing to accept it, none can refute it; and when once the Principle of Christian Science is understood, its truth can no more be questioned than can the truth of mathematics.

Through this understanding of divine Principle I have been able to overcome much of self-love, self-pity, impatience, and irritability, besides various physical disorders. The more I ponder the allness of God, good, the happier I am and the more I realize the nothing can separate us from this God who is Love. My appreciation of Mrs. Eddy, and gratitude to her, are hard to express, but I do try to show them in my life.
