In October, 1906, I was induced to accompany a friend to a Wednesday evening meeting, which was my first hearing of the truth taught in our text-book, Science and Health. I listened intently to the reading, as it was so different from anything I had ever heard before. On Friday I procured a copy of the text-book from the Reading Room. I went to the service the following Sunday morning, and from that service I returned home healed of deafness in one ear, caused by a fever, twenty years before. I also noted an improvement in my sight, which has become normal since I began to study Christian Science. By the reading of Science and Health I have been healed of several chronic diseases. Five of these ailments dated back over twenty years.

Our young daughter has been lifted from extreme delicacy and chronic bronchial trouble to perfect health, by attending Sunday School and by holding the right thought of God's power to heal. I fully understand, by the teaching of Science and Health, and the Lesson-Sermons, that we must live the truth and have the Christ-spirit—demonstrate the truth of being, which has been to me "the resurrection and the life." Only through the clear reflected thought of Love divine, truth and harmony, was I healed and led to seek true Christian Science, as it had never appealed to me before. I am daily trying to live, and to show by health and loving actions, my gratitude to God, and to His messenger, Mrs. Eddy, for the true gospel.
