I want to add my testimony to that of the thousands of others who have been benefited physically, mentally, and spiritually by Christian Science. I seemed to be a mental, moral, and physical wreck when I heard of the uplifting changes effected by the influence of Mrs. Eddy's teachings. Strong drink had destroyed my moral capacity to think rightly; I had lost my equipoise. I had become restless, dissatisfied with everything, and was unable to resist the temptation to use stimulants and drugs. My nervous system had become utterly deranged, and mentally I had neither capacity to think nor desire to work. At last my friends sent me to a hospital, and eventually I was placed in a sanitarium.

Some one told me of the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and I began to read it. I had read but a few pages when a wonderful change came over me. I can hardly tell how, but it seemed as if some tremendous force for good was working within me. The change came almost instantly; I saw things in a new light. After six treatments from a Christian Science practitioner my mentality adjusted itself to normal conditions, and I told my wife that I was a well man. My appetite for strong drink ceased, and I became physically strong again. I gained strength of character, and succeeded in securing a position. Previous to this I had been unable to keep employed because of my habits, but I am now happy to say that I have not lost a single day since my conversion. I have lost all desire for drink and drugs, and my health is of the best. I am able to live in a better way and to keep my family in comfort. I attribute all of this to the wonderful power of Almighty God as demonstrated by Christ Jesus, and revealed in this age by Christian Science.

The true concept of man's relation to God has been my salvation. I have learned that God is good, and that the troubles of mankind are due to an improper conception of the creator and His attitude to the needs of His children. In Christian Science we find that as children of God we have nothing to fear; that God does not afflict the world with trouble, and that as we think only of God as good, evil disappears. I cannot close without expressing my heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, to whom God gave this great revelation of Truth.
