I did not take up the study of Christian Science for the physical healing, but was invited to meet with a little band of students who gathered each Sunday morning at the home of one of their number to read the Lesson-Sermon, there being no church organization here at that time. From the first I was touched by the truth of this teaching. I became eager to know more of God and of man's relation to Him. It was not long before I had occasion to test the truth of God's power to heal, and my faith to trust to Christian Science treatment. A carbuncle came on my finger. I worked in Science a few days, the best I knew (which was comparatively nothing). Then my sister said to me, "There is a scientific way of healing, and there is no need for you to suffer." So I asked a practitioner for treatment and was relieved at once. No material remedies were used, there was no lancing, and no discharge from the carbuncle. It just seemed to be absorbed, to go back to its native nothingness. All soreness was overcome in one week's treatment.

I am very grateful for the spiritual uplifting which I have received, as well as for the physical healing. I am thankful to Mrs. Eddy for this revelation of Truth, and for giving us the spiritual interpretation of the Bible. Words cannot express my gratitude for all the help I have received in gaining what knowledge I have of Christian Science.—Florence P. Dodge, Wagoner, Okla.
