It would be difficult to tell of all the demonstrations of...
It would be difficult to tell of all the demonstrations of healing we have had in Christian Science. It has been our only physician for the last four years. My first demonstration was over a burn, caused by spilling boiling fluid over my hand and arm. I at once declared the truth, and in less than a half hour all pain was gone and I went on with my work. A few weeks later our four children were taken with a supposedly infectious disease, and one of them had an attack which alarmed me very much. I was on the verge of going back to my old remedies, when suddenly the thought came to me that this was the time to test Christian Science. I then remembered that my sister had told me if I ever got in trouble when I was alone, to read in Science and Health. I did so, and I scarcely knew how long I had been reading when I thought of the sick boy. My surprise can be imagined when I found him sleeping peacefully, without any cough, and in a few days he had recovered from the illness. I remember how I rejoiced when I knew that the truth had healed him. After taking up the study of the Lesson-Sermons I noticed that the diseases from which I had suffered, such as stomach trouble, headache, etc., also fear and worry, were disappearing. For three years I was well and strong, but in October, 1907, I was taken sick with a fever, and being unable to meet it myself, I called upon my sister for help. She was with me two nights and one day, when the fever was broken. I then got up and dressed, and was soon in my usual health and have been ever since.
I consider Christian Science the greatest blessing that ever came to me, and my gratitude to God, to the great Wayshower, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, is unspeakable.—Mrs. Rosetta K. Cave, Frankfort, Ind.
