Hoping that this testimony may help others, as we have...

Hoping that this testimony may help others, as we have been helped, we joyfully send it to the Field. When we think of what our lives were without Christian Science it seems as if we never really lived until we were born into the understanding of Christian Science. All her life my wife had been a sufferer and in very poor health, which in later years developed heart, liver, and stomach trouble, etc., besides a very severe form of female complaint; and at the age of forty-three years she was given up to die by our three local physicians, also by four physicians of Colorado and one specialist of Missouri. With all of her former diseases in aggravated forms, a dreaded disease of the kidneys appeared, and when practically on her deathbed Christian Science was recommended to us through a friend whose wife had been healed three years before. Having exhausted every available means in materia medica, we took up Christian Science, as soon as arrangements could be made with a practitioner, and it was not very long before its healing influence was made manifest. My wife began to lose one ailment after another, until all had vanished into their native nothingness, through the power of Truth.

It is now over three years since we took up Christian Science, and I must also say for myself that I was healed of a very severe case of stomach trouble, of sixteen years' standing, which had developed into a case of gall-stones, from which I suffered, many times nigh unto death, for seven years. Kind physicians did all in their power, but at last the verdict was the knife or death. All of our business tangles have been unraveled, and many beautiful demonstrations have been made in our family of seven. Our prayers are that infinite wisdom, Truth, and Love may make and keep us ever worthy to be found in the upward and onward march of the true Christian Scientist. We realize that we owe endless gratitude to divine Love for having thus helped us, both physically and spiritually. Now we see what Jesus meant when he said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Our hearts go out in gratitude to God, to the great Wayshower, and to Mrs. Eddy for the work she has done and is still doing for the human race, for the betterment of the world. We are more than grateful that God guided us to the truth, that we may have life and have it "more abundantly."—A. Ott, Concordia, Kan.
