Every day I feel more grateful for what Christian Science has done for me. For many years I was a great sufferer from a complication of diseases said to be incurable. I was treated by many physicians, and tried every kind of remedy that I thought would help me. I often wondered why I was sick so much of the time, and if it was God's will. I felt that I could not live in the eastern climate, so we decided to go to California, thinking that the change might cure me. I had never heard of Christian Science until after reaching California. The first winter we were here I met a friend, a Scientist, who loaned me her copy of Science and Health. I read in it for a few days, and thought it was very good, but did not think it could do anything for me. I yet clung to the thought that the milder climate would help me, but the second winter came and I was no better. I was then ready to take up again the reading of Science and Health. To me it did not seem like the same book I had read before, and I became so interested that I spent all of my spare time in studying it. For a number of years I had not been able to see to read or sew without my glasses, but after reading Science and Health for about a week something seemed to tell me that I did not need glasses, so I took them off and found I could read without them. I read that day and until late that night, and then I realized it was the voice of Truth that had spoken and healed my eyes. I have also been healed of headache in its worst form. Gradually all my so-called incurable diseases have been overcome, and I can do a big day's work without even feeling tired.

Christian Science has not only helped me in a physical way, but most of all spiritually, and I am very thankful for even the little knowledge I have of this truth. It is everything to me. and for all these blessings I am truly grateful to God, and to our dear Leader, who has made it possible to demonstrate this blessed Christ-healing.
