It is now nearly eight years since I became interested in...
It is now nearly eight years since I became interested in Christian Science, at which time I was healed of an organic trouble that had baffled the skill of twelve of the best doctors I could hear of in my own city, in Albany, and in New York city, covering a period of more than six years. At the time I accepted Christian Science I was healed of severe bowel troubles, from which I had suffered more or less ever since I was a child. Since then I have had some ailments to meet, but have always depended on Christian Science and have used no other remedy. The physical healing, though it seems wonderful to me, sinks into insignificance when compared with the spiritual blessings which have come to me through the study of our text-book, Science and Health, by Mrs. Eddy. This book is certainly the "Key to the Scriptures," for it has opened up the Bible to me in a truer and more practical sense than ever before, although I had been interested in religious work for more than twenty-five years.
Words are inadequate to express my thankfulness for this truth, and for the peace and happiness which it has brought into my life. My greatest desire is to consecrate my life more and more to God and to His Cause, that I may prove by right living that I am trying to be a Christian Scientist.
Ellsworth O. Hill, Middletown, N. Y.
