For seven or eight years I have been receiving benefits...
For seven or eight years I have been receiving benefits from Christian Science, and feel that I should no longer withhold my testimony from among those of the rapidly increasing multitude who with one accord are sending up a song of thanksgiving to God, for His revelation of Truth to this age through our beloved Leader. When I first came to Christian Science I was in a hopeless condition of grief, and burdened with an awful sense of responsibility and care. My slight understanding has come gradually, but I am healed of that grief, and am learning that the only rest for the heavy laden is found in Christ, Truth.
A retrospective view of these seven years, and the many difficulties overcome during that time by a faint perception of the omnipotence of God, good, encourages me to press on. At each stage of this "passage from sense to Soul" (Science and Health, p. 566) we find awaiting us loving admonition and encouragement from our dear Leader, who has advanced to divine heights. She is now proving before the world what it means to be "clad in the panoply of Love" (Science and Health, p. 571).
