AMONG THE CHURCHES

Hereafter the edifice of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, will be open to visitors two days in the week, Wednesday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The corner-stone of the Christian Science church in process of erection at the corner of Center and Masonic Streets in Northampton was laid yesterday afternoon [Aug. 31] at five o'clock with simple ceremonies. Selections appropriate to the occasion were read from the Bible and from Science and Health by Mrs. E. E. Mayfield, First Reader, and the Lord's Prayer was repeated by the congregation at the close. A box was placed in the cornerstone containing copies of Science and Health and other writings of Mary Baker G. Eddy, Founder of the Christian Science Church. Only members of the church and Sunday School were notified of the event.
