It is over three years ago since I first heard of Christian Science. My brother, who had been healed through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," wrote me that I did not need to be sick, and if I would read a book which had healed him he knew it would do as much for me. I thought it very strange that the reading of a book could heal any one. I had never known of any one being healed by reading the Bible, and surely what the Bible did not do no other book could. I must confess that I laughed at the thought, and at the same time I could not dismiss it.

Some two years later, when every known remedy and human agency had failed to heal me, I decided to try my brother's remedy. In answer to a letter of inquiry he advised me to get the book and read it, which I promised him I would do. I had many difficulties to overcome, but encouraged and helped by my brother I kept on reading, and as I did so the statements of truth began to appeal to me as a God-given utterance which was penned only by inspiration. When I arrived at this conviction I began at the preface and searched honestly, declaring fearlessly and conscientiously that Mrs. Eddy was God's messenger, and the light dawned. I saw that Christian Science is the truth which alone can right all wrong. My healing came slowly, but with it came many blessings and proofs of divine Love.

To God I owe endless praise, and to Mrs. Eddy loyalty and love. I am also grateful for the help received through the Christian Science literature, and for the testimonies I am especially grateful.
