About three years ago a lady told me about "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I at once became anxious to learn more about Christian Science, as I was not satisfied with my present religious belief, so I borrowed the book and read it through hastily, as I had to send it back in a short time. I greatly disliked to part with it, for I felt as if I were giving up a friend, and I earnestly desired to know more of this truth which makes men free. A short time afterward I had an opportunity to attend the meetings of a little band of workers in the town near which I lived. I then bought a copy of Science and Health, and have been studying it ever since. It gives me a much better understanding of the Bible, and such a spiritual uplifting that I shall not be "satisfied" until I gain the full knowledge of Christ, Truth, and "awake in his likeness."

One of my first demonstrations, for which I have never ceased to be thankful, was the overcoming of spells of nervous headache. I could not travel any distance or go in a crowd without having one of those attacks, and sometimes they would last two or three days. In this condition I seemed most miserable and often felt that I would be glad to pass away. As I had tried all kinds of material remedies in vain, I often pondered the healing work of our Saviour, wishing it could be done as in days of yore, but not then realizing that God is omnipresent and omnipotent. Now I know that He abides with us forever, if we keep His commandments, and through this knowledge of ever-present Love I have been healed. I have had many other demonstrations, among which are the overcoming of biliousness and constipation.

I thank God for giving to Mrs. Eddy this great message, and I thank her for giving it to the world "in His name." I am one who was sought and found by divine Love.
