About two years have passed since I began to attend the Christian Science services. My health was not good then, — I was afflicted with severe trouble in my eyes, which were inflamed, and this caused me much suffering. I applied home remedies, but they gave me no relief, on the contrary the trouble increased. After I had listened to several testimonies. I decided to take Christian Science treatment myself. After the second treatment I felt a great improvement; the inflammation began to disappear and after the third treatment my eyes were in a normal condition, which was a great cause for joy. Since my earliest youth I had been subject to a stubborn catarrh, accompanied by headache and loss of appetite; and from this trouble also I am perfectly healed. Since then I feel that I am born anew; my thought has become more pure; I have lost all desire for alcoholic drinks and smoking, and have instead a desire for spiritual elevation. Through this healing my understanding has grown, and the desire was awakened in me to be the happy possessor of a copy of Science and Health. I now study the Sunday lessons.
