I first heard of Christian Science in 1899, when myself and family were healed of several ailments. I was healed of cancer, which had been developing for some time, also hemorrhage of the lungs, — consumption. All my life I have loved to read the Word of God and desired a true understanding of it. I am happy to say that since studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I have the blessing of a much better understanding of the Bible than ever before. I also rejoice to see my children growing into realization of divine Love.

We have had many beautiful demonstrations, one of which I will mention. When my boy was seven years old we were traveling in a covered wagon from Oklahoma to Colorado, and he was taken sick with typhoid fever. At this time I had only read in Science and Health a little. I did not know what to do, as he seemed to be so ill, and I sent to a practitioner to treat him. She received the letter the next morning about nine o'clock. At this time the child was seemingly dying, when all at once a change came for the better, and within half an hour he wanted me to hold him up to see it rain, which I did, only too glad to know that he was safe. He is well to-day and we are all very grateful for his healing.
