It is with a heart full of gratitude that I write of what Christian Science has done for me. It has brought me from a state of morbid, depressing invalidism to a realization of health and happiness never dreamed of a few months ago. For three years I was almost an invalid, sometimes suffering so much that I longed to die. I had neurasthenia and anæmia, with their usual accompaniment, insomnia. I had tried medicine, message, water treatments, osteopathy, change of climate, and in fact anything and everything that the physicians would recommend, but nothing brought any relief except for a short time. Last winter I grew so much worse that I went to Florida with a friend, hoping to be benefited by the climate. I was benefited,—not by the Florida climate, however, but by my friend's copy of Science and Health. I accepted its teachings at once, and began taking treatment from a practitioner in Cincinnati. In about three months I was completely healed. It seems wonderful to me to be strong and well again, able to be up and busy all day, instead of spending hours each day on the bed or couch. After two years and a half of the horrors of insomnia, I now sleep as naturally as a child. "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," has been thoroughly demonstrated in my case. I am not only free from sickness, but free from fear as well. Even with my limited understanding of this Science, I have been able to demonstrate the power of Truth over the claims of sickness.
Only those who have been led from the darkness of materiality to the light of Christian Science can understand how grateful I feel.—Alice G. Klein, Covington, Ky.
