After an unsuccessful operation, I turned to Christian Science,...
After an unsuccessful operation, I turned to Christian Science, and was healed. Soon after this I was enabled to lay aside glasses. I was also healed of heavy catarrhal colds that used to come, and remain the greater part of every winter. I was rejoiced to be well, but did not try, for some time, to learn of the Principle that had healed me, though I would turn to Christian Science when I considered that I needed help. When I did determine to study, and try to prove the truth for myself, I seemed to pass through dark hours, but the light is growing brighter as I work away from a sense of evil into a knowledge of good,—which is freedom. I am more grateful than I can tell, to know that I am daily growing into an understanding of God's eternal government. I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy, to whom we can turn with love and implicit obedience, and who is leading us into the way everlasting—to the reflection of the one "from whom all blessings flow."
