I desire to express my deep gratitude for the many blessings...
I desire to express my deep gratitude for the many blessings I have received in Christian Science. I came to this Science for the physical healing, and God was indeed bountiful in giving me so much more than I had asked for. For five years I had been a sufferer from nervous dyspepsia and chronic constipation. I had been under materia medica four years, and osteopathy for nine months, with only temporary relief. Finally my stomach trouble grew worse, to such an extent I could not take any kind of food that I did not suffer afterwards. I had had constipation all my life, but in the last few years the physician pronounced the lower bowel paralyzed, and this seemed to cause great suffering at times. He told me that he could only give me relief, and that I might get better as I grew older. I knew not which way to turn for help, when one day I met an old acquaintance, and she looked so well and happy that I remarked upon it; then she went on to tell me that I remarked upon it; then she went on to tell me that she had become a Christian Scientist, and she related her wonderful healing. It impressed me so, I felt at once that Christian Science could help me also, and inside of two hours I was in the presence of a practitioner, taking my first treatment. In six weeks I was healed of extreme nervousness and all the other troubles. Christian Science has been my only physician for two years and a half, and I am enjoying better health than I ever had in my life.
For all these blessings I am indeed grateful. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for having brought us this blessed truth. I am, above all, grateful to God for healing me.
