I am always happy. The natural gladness of soul with which children are born is the rightful manner of a true child of God, one who believes that the divine will has its way in human life, that Christ is always present with us, that we can answer his love with ours and his authority with obedience. This gives us a sober and serious happiness which nothing can invade, a joy which no man can take from us. Every man should be like a ray of sunlight and joy in a world in which God reigns supreme and is responsible for the ordering of life.—
Phillips Brooks.
