It is nearly eight years since I was healed in Christian Science

It is nearly eight years since I was healed in Christian Science. A friend came to me while I was suffering from acute neuralgia in my face. The doctor told me he had given me the strongest remedies he dare give me, and he therefore knew of no further help to relieve my intense agony. I had had no sleep for night, and my face was swollen and almost black in parts with the strong remedies I had applied to it. The most trying part of it was, that these attacks were becoming very frequent, either cold, or heat, or fatigue, or what the doctor called "run down," or "nervous debility," would bring them on in all parts of my body and head, and I was getting weary of my life. I also had traveled abroad for change of climate to see if that would strengthen me. Since childhood I had been delicate and subject to many ailments, and had spent weeks in bed.

When my friend spoke to me of Christian Science, though it conveyed nothing to me, never having heard of it before. I was ready to try any remedy that would free me from my sufferings, and so I gladly consented to go at once with her to a practitioner. The treatment healed me in a few minutes, of that which the doctor had said he could not.

After this I got Science and Health, studied Christian Science, and later in the same year was again healed of an internal ailment. In the second year that I was in Science, I was able, with the help of another Scientist, to overcome inflammation of the bowels, after spending but one day in bed. Since then I have never had a return of it, nor have I had a day's illness. When sick headaches or colds have attacked me I have overcome them in a few hours; and now I do so almost at once.

I came into Christian Science seven years ago
