I came into Christian Science seven years ago. I had been a great sufferer from neuralgic rheumatism since childhood, had been tortured with it for over thirty years, in consequence of which, I became lame and deaf. I tried the different schools of medicine, but none afforded me any relief. After exhausting every resource, I was persuaded to try Christian Science. I went to one of Mrs. Eddy's students for help, and was relieved in five days. I was so elated and joyous over the result, and felt so well and free from pain, that I wanted everybody to try it. I sent for Science and Health, for I believed it to be the truth, and I wanted to know it. It was indeed an ever-present help, for the old ailment returned many times, and made vigorous efforts to stay, but an application of Christian Science would in a short time rout the enemy. Another old chronic trouble of many years' standing passed away at that time and has returned, and never will. I am not afraid of rain or snow, and go out in all kinds of weather, when formerly I feared the least draught. Although all my ailments have not yet been overcome, I trust that they will be in time.

Through this great power I have been able to overcome other ailments for myself, my family, and others. A case of insanity yielded easily, one of consumption in a few months, drunkenness of many years' standing was healed instantaneously, stolen goods returned to their owner; all through the demonstration of the power of Truth. My heart is full of love and gratitude to the Giver of all good, and to Mrs. Eddy, whose labor and self-sacrifice the world can never know—Lida C. Rogers, Maysville, Ky.
