It has been a question with me why many of us have been so slow to accept Christian Science, when we see again the unmistakable signs of Christ's power to heal and save by the application of its teachings. Notwithstanding the fact that I had heard, twelve years ago, of the healing of a friend through Christian Science, whose case was identical with mine, I remained incredulous and skeptical.

For twenty-five years I had been afflicted with chronic constipation, and during that time had consulted nearly every prominent physician in our city, with the same discouraging results and no permanent relief. As a result of so much doctoring my stomach became involved and I was compelled to diet half the time. Finally, after I had given up hope of obtaining relief from any source I had hitherto tried. I turned to Christian Science. I began taking treatment of a practitioner in our city twelve months ago, and received benefit from the first. While my healing was slow, and I have had some days of discouragement, Christian Science has been such a wonderful help to me physically and spiritually that, out of gratitude to God for my restoration to almost perfect health, I give this testimony, that it may possibly help some one who is as blind to Christian Science, as I was in past years. I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy for pointing out the way to understand the healing power of Truth, and teaching us how to interpret the Scriptures spiritually.—Mrs. J. E. R., Columbus, O.
