Progress in Edinburgh, Scotland

Correspondence

On Sunday, May 8, First Church of Christ, Scientist, Edinburgh, held its first service in the new hall at 14 Queen Street. The occasion was one of much rejoicing, as it was the first move into larger quarters since the Church was organized four and a half years ago.

The new hall is conveniently situated in the central part of the city at a very short distance from the reading rooms. There were about ninety people present at the opening service. The First Reader gave a short address.

"Many of us," she said, "have been brought out of great tribulation, out of great trouble of body and worse trouble of heart and mind, into a condition of health and happiness to which we never expected to attain on this plane of existence. It was natural, therefore, that we should earnestly desire to share our happiness with others and rejoice at every sign of the advancement of our Cause."
