Words fail me to express the half of the health, joy, and peace which have come into my life since the light of divine Science dawned upon my darkened sense over ten years ago. Ever since then this Science has been my "shield and hiding-place."
For quite a long time, however, I was content to remain upon the heights, looking only from a single point of view, and to this day the glorious vision and glad release from error's thraldom remain with me like a glowing star over my mental horizon. In constant daily companionship with the Bible and Science and Health, I have been enabled to meet and overcome error in many of its varied and deceptive phases. In the infancy of my changed thought, several beautiful demonstrations were made, which served to hold me steadily to the truth of divine Science.
One of my earliest experiences was that of filling a responsible position as cashier and bookkeeper, something I should have stood aghast at before, had I been called upon to fill the place when living in the old thought, and for the reason that I had had no training whatever in any kind of business. In looking back upon that demonstration it remains in my grateful thought as one of the strongest, tenderest proofs of God's loving care for one who seemed at that time very desolate and in great need. The gray and misty days, the trying problems which have come up to be met since then have proven conclusively to my sense that Christian Science is indeed the all-saving, all-satisfying, all-powerful, ever-present truth, through which we are to "enter into the kingdom." By the regular daily reading of Science and Health, and of the Sentinel, Journal, and Quarterly, my thought has been so purified and renovated, I can now joyously say that the channel is becoming helpful to others, and of this each day gives added proof.
