[Written for the Sentinel.]

Omnipotence

Since Love is all,—our certain guide,—
How can we stray?
See where the way
Stretches, glad, free, and glorified
On every side!

A way of high, sweet holiness,
We do not fear,
Love's strength is here
To heal, to comfort, and to bless.
Love's hands caress.

Strong hands, so full of tender might!
Then sing, my heart,
Do thou thy part
In trusting, knowing, faith bedight,
Walk in Love's light.

Lift up thy head as one delivered from slavery. Dare to look up to God and say: Deal with me henceforth as thou wilt; I am of one mind with Thee; I am thine. I reject nothing that seems good to thee; lead me whithersoever thou wilt, clothe me in what dress thou wilt.—EPICTETUS.
